The away team resumed its sweeps of the station, removing all traps and or possible bombs that
were left behind by the prior occupants. As they swept through the station, they found what
they believed to be a bomb. They found 200 lbs of a substance that was wired to blow. The
science officer working with the security chief in time disarmed the devise, finding a
cloaked, room which was holomasked over by a force field. Upon removal of the force field
the remaining live Jem Hadar, Vorta and the one founder we executed as ordered, per the no
prisoner rule.

As the team moved about, ketracel white littered both the floor and ceiling by the time the
security teams had finished their knack for killing. The team also found barrels of liquid
latinum that the Jem Hadar must have been storing for the purchase of many weapons sources
against the confederation.

The latinum was beamed back to the ship and combined with gold to make bars. The engineers
after running out of gold, had a little over 17,000 bars of gold pressed latinum, and 11
remaining barrels of latinum to spare for future processing.

The pilots continued their survey, completing the mapping of planet, sending the data back so
that it could be viewed on screen. The planet a class M shows signs of what appear to be an
ancient humanistic civilization, the structures upon closer passes by the fighters reveal
that the structures themselves could be Aztec, Mayan or Inca in nature, but until we actually
go down to the planet and investigate this is only speculation by the analysis made on
incoming data. The fighters then moved off towards the asteroid field to make sure that
there are no further Jem Hadar inside the nebula, they have just about reached the rim of the
field, and will be going into the field for a full survey, for ships and minerals as long as
we are here.

Engineering working with tactical devised a plan to get the to get the crystal to the surface
for reconfiguration and implantation into the core. Tactical narrowed the phaser beam, using
the ships phaser’s to bore a hole into the surface through the rock to get us closer to the
crystal source. As we bored the beam into the surface, engineering began work on modifying
the transporter to beam the crystal to the surface. Once the boring was done the crystal was
beamed to the surface, along with the rock that is was incased in. The engineers carefully
removed the surrounding rock, packed up the crystal and returned to the ship with it. I am
told by engineering that the crystal is large enough to supply us with a spare core, after
they figure out how to split it, reconfigure it and get our power back to full.

Repair teams continued to work on the station making necessary repairs, the stations auto
destruct sequence has been set to the CO’s personal command, weapons systems on the station
are more powerful than first believed, it seems they have incorporated the fire power of a
Dreadnaught in this station, the tactical data, along with all current data has been
downloaded to the Andromeda and all departments are currently going over the data, assisting
in their departments with repairs.

After a long discussion with the XO, the CO decided to give all crew members the surviving one
hundred and one, one hundred bars of gold pressed latinum each, the twenty four that were
killed during the battle near Xonnel will have their share sent to their families once we
leave the nebula. The CO has refused to take any of the money leaving his share in stock in
case he wants to use it for future trade with various species. Much to the surprise of the
CO and XO most of the crew have not taken their entire share but just a few bars or none at
all, following their CO’s example.

We continue onward moving forward again next week.
